Bats, Bees and Butterflies Program

Linda Freeman and Jordyn Washington talk about this important program teaching our youth how to take care of the natural world.

It is a year-round afterschool and summer program STEM, entrepreneurship and leadership to inspsire and prepare the kids 6 through 12th to learn empathy and compassion for the world.

Since July 2018, GEN2050 and Patch of Heaven Sanctuary in the Redland have partnered together to manage their honey bee colonies, as well as educate the community on the importance of honey bees as pollinators.

What is interesting about this project, which now has funding from both The Children’s Trust and National Geographic,is that what is put first and foremost is environmental stewardship, for all kids.
