From TV snack to tasty meal
My family loves to snack on buffalo chicken wings and blue cheese-filled celery when watching sports on TV. Tonight’s dinner is a quick and tasty variation on that theme. A tangy blue cheese sauce coats chicken tenders while the brown rice is flavored with bottled wing sauce and crunchy celery.
Chicken tenders, also called boneless chicken tenderloins, are part of the chicken breast and can be found in most supermarkets. Alternatively, cut boneless, skinless chicken breast meat into strips about 2 inches wide and 4 inches long.
The side dish is made with microwaveable brown rice. If using another kind, follow package instructions and add the celery, oil and wing sauce after the rice is drained. Diced celery for the rice dish can be found in the produce section of the market.
