Grandi Marchi: For the first time in the United States, the 18 members of the Grandi Marchi will showcase their wines on Tuesday, October 21, 2008, in a day of events, from 10:30 a.m. – 10:00 p.m., at The Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables. Events include a guided wine tasting and luncheon (exclusively for media), a walk-aroundGrand Tasting for trade, press and public followed by a Gala Dinner, for select members of the public, press and the winemakers. Grandi Marchi – Institute of Italian Fine Wines is a group of elite Italian vintners who promote worldwide recognition of quality Italian wines and the diverse wine culture that has been developed over thousand of years in their homeland. Grandi Marchi members include: Alois Lageder, Ambrogio e Giovanni Folonari Tenute, Antinori, Biondi Santi s.p.a., Ca’ del Bosco, Carpenè Malvolti, Donnafugata, Gaja, Jermann, Lungarotti, Masi, Mastroberardino, Michele Chiarlo, Pio Cesare, Rivera, Tasca D’Almerita, Tenuta San Guido, and Umani Ronchi.
